According to fresh figures from the British Phonographic Industry, recorded music consumption climbed by 4.9%; reaching a new peak of 210.3 million albums across sales and streams. Streaming alone blew past 200 billion plays for the first time. Vinyl kept doing its improbable thing too, rising for the 18th year in a row, while physical formats overall nudged up by 1.4%.
